Popular socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, has taken to social media to advise Nigerians not to evade the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a recent post on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest reassured the public that EFCC operatives do not mistreat suspects and emphasized that they are solely focused on investigating and prosecuting individuals involved in financial crimes.

According to Cubana Chief Priest, those who attempt to avoid EFCC invites or resist arrest will eventually be caught, regardless of where they try to hide. He also commended the hospitality of the agency, mentioning that suspects in their custody are provided with three meals a day.

In his Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest stated, “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide. No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them, they don’t bite, they don’t beat, they only investigate and prosecute. For their cell, toilet & bathroom dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running.”

It is worth noting that Cubana Chief Priest recently faced charges of abusing the Naira before Justice Kehinde Ogundare of the Federal High Court in Lagos. The EFCC brought forward a three-count charge against him, to which he pleaded not guilty. Following his plea, Cubana Chief Priest was granted bail in the amount of N10 million with two sureties in like sum.

The advice from Cubana Chief Priest serves as a reminder to individuals to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, such as the EFCC, when invited for questioning or investigation. By complying with the authorities, suspects can ensure a smoother legal process and potentially avoid further complications.

It is essential for individuals to understand their rights and responsibilities when dealing with law enforcement agencies. Cooperation and transparency can often lead to a more favorable outcome in legal proceedings. By following Cubana Chief Priest’s advice and facing the EFCC without fear, individuals can demonstrate their commitment to upholding the law and resolving any issues that may arise.
