The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Yusuf Tuggar, granted an audience to the Chadian ambassador, Abakar Saleh Chahaimi, on March 13th. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria’s website, the two diplomats discussed issues of common interest, bilateral and regional relations, security, and development around Lake Chad. They also addressed the political and security crisis in Sudan and Libya, as well as the end of the political transition in Chad, among other topics. This was the first contact that Ambassador Abakar Saleh Chahaimi had with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs under President Bola Tinubu since taking office in Abuja in 2019.
