Launched on March 11th, the second edition of the free community health campaign will be held until Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Screening, consultation, treatment of diagnosed diseases are among the services offered to the populations of Oyo. From March 11 to 17, the inhabitants of this city will benefit from the “Community Health” operation. In its second edition, the campaign was launched in memory of Dr. Édith Lucie Bongo Ondimba, the eldest daughter of the President of the Republic, Denis Sassou N’Guesso, and former First Lady of Gabon who died fifteen years ago.
The particular instruction given to the healthcare personnel is that they should be available and committed. “For us, this is an important indicator. It allows us to measure what health problems our compatriots are facing. It also allows us to plan for the future to see how we can address primary health issues among the population. We are pleased that patients arrive and are well taken care of for free,” explained Minister Gilbert Mokoki.
It is worth noting that during the first edition in 2023, during ten days of “Community Health”, medical teams consulted and treated 3124 patients for free.
