Unanimously, with amendment, the 58 senators present at the plenary session approved the related bill last week.
Senators validate the bill related to the creation of the National Competition Authority. The said bill incorporates the budget support program document from the World Bank or 2nd Development Policy Financing (DPF) as a prerequisite measure or action in favor of the Republic of Congo.
“The creation of the National Competition Authority is a public establishment with administrative character, endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy, placed under the supervision of the Minister in charge of Trade,” said the Minister of State, of Commerce, Consumption and Supplies, Alphonse Claude Nsilou during the Senate plenary session.
