The oil company Perenco plans to increase its hydrocarbon production in Congo. The Franco-British company announced this on Tuesday, March 12 in Oyo, when it revealed its investment projects. This was in favor of a meeting between the Africa director of the group, Denis Chatelon, and the President, Denis Sassou N’Guesso.

According to adiac-congo.com, Denis Sassou N’Guesso and Denis Chatelon reviewed the research operations, including two geological discoveries that will allow the company to increase its production. They finally discussed the new projects mainly in oil that the company plans to carry out. “Perenco Group has developed special techniques to revive oil wells at the end of their life in order to recover the still untapped oil. There are a lot of projects in an oil field, allowing to calculate the recovery rate of the available oil and the volume extracted,” said the Africa director of Perenco.

Since 2001, the Perenco company has mainly operated the fields of Emeraude, Likouala, Yombo with the floating production, storage and offloading unit La Noumbi, and the Pointe-Noire Grand Fond Sud concession.
