The Accelerated Program for Institutional Governance and Reforms for Sustainable Service Delivery (Pagir) was launched on Thursday, March 28 in Brazzaville.
The Republic of Congo has just launched the Accelerated Program for Institutional Governance and Reforms for Sustainable Service Delivery. Funded to the tune of 42 billion CFA francs, Pagir is a work of cooperation between Congo and the World Bank Group. It aims to increase the effectiveness of domestic resource mobilization and expenditure management with a particular focus on the health and education sectors.
Pagir is subdivided into two components, namely the Results-focused Program (PfoR) and the Investment Project (IFP). According to adiac-congo.com, the PfoR will support the achievement of results in the areas of increased national resource mobilization, modernization of public financial management, implementation of program budgeting, and testing key public financial management reforms to ensure better service delivery in the health and education sectors. This component is funded to the tune of 33 billion CFA francs. The IFP component, on the other hand, is funded to the tune of 9 billion CFA francs.
