The exchange focused on academic programs as well as practical aspects such as housing and transportation.

Located in Liambou, in the Kouilou department, but it was in Saint Charles Lwanga, Pointe-Noire that the inaugural meeting took place.
“The university site is still under construction. The reception of the facilities will be soon. In order not to keep the students and parents waiting too long, we wanted to start this academic year today and start classes this week here in Pointe-Noire,” explained Alfred Charles Sockath, the dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Olivier Massamba Loubelo, the university president, assured that the start of classes in Pointe-Noire was temporary.

Initially designed to accommodate three faculties and 27,000 students, UCCB will initially focus on the Faculty of Science and Technology, offering six majors.
