This budget was approved on Wednesday, March 6th, in Dolisie, during the second ordinary budget session of the Niari Departmental Council.
4,191,260,177 CFA francs is the amount that was approved in revenues and expenditures by the Niari Departmental Council for the year 2024. The budget was adopted during the holding of the 2nd ordinary budget session of this body which took place on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024.
There is however an increase compared to the budget of the year 2023. This is justified by the inclusion of two sectors, namely education and health, in accordance with the article on the transfer of powers to local authorities.
According to an excerpt from a publication on adiac-congo.com, the President of the Niari Departmental Council, Armand Moody Mafoumbou, explains that:
“The budget we have just adopted is a major tool that we have made available to the executive office. Beyond being perhaps a catalog of figures, behind this budget lies the life of our fellow citizens, of our cities, the quality of our cities, the quality of our fellow citizens, thus the quality of our department,” he said.
