In the department of Cuvette, flood victims received a humanitarian kit consisting of food, supplies and school manuals, medication, and outboard motors.

This “Humanitarian aid aims to preserve the lives of the victims and alleviate their suffering as much as possible. This aid is the first step of our intervention. The next step is recovery,” said the Minister of Social Affairs, Solidarity and Humanitarian Action, Irène Marie-Cécile Mboukou-Kimbatsa.

The district of Mossaka recorded two loss of lives; 1891 people affected from 4167 households in the eight neighborhoods of the urban community and the 46 villages of the district. This information was provided by the departmental director of Humanitarian Action in Cuvette, Léopold Itoua.
