The alleged perpetrator of the crime was brought before the public prosecutor’s office on Monday, March 4, 2024.

Police lieutenant Brice Mboulou is being prosecuted for the murder on March 1st in Brazzaville of Erresse Destin Mongo Moby. An affair that has attracted a lot of attention, even on social media with several versions. The problem at the root of it all would be a land dispute.

A statement from the public prosecutor’s office states that “Following the murder committed on Erresse Destin Mongo Moby on March 1st, 2024, an investigation was opened on the same day by the territorial command services of the police forces in Brazzaville. At the end of this investigation, the aforementioned Aymard Brice Mboulou, the alleged perpetrator, has just been brought before the public prosecutor’s office on this day, March 4, 2024.”

The same source points out that given the extreme seriousness of the situation, a judicial investigation has been opened against him for the crime of murder, as provided and punished by articles 295 and 304 of the penal code.
