This rescheduling follows a disagreement between the Ministry of Health and these young doctors.

Scheduled for March 4, the deployment of the third cohort of doctors trained in Cuba to hospitals in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire has been postponed to a later date. The reasons for this postponement are related to logistical issues, financial difficulties, and the capacity of hospitals to accommodate them.

According to the pre-established schedule by the government, the 700 doctors trained in Cuba and returned to Congo in October 2022 will be divided into two waves for their immersion training in hospitals. The first wave was supposed to be deployed from March 4 to September 3, 2024, and the second from September 4, 2024, to March 3, 2025.

The General Directorate of Human Resources at the Ministry of Health and Population announced that the next training schedule will be communicated later, especially following the meeting with the supervising minister.
