Congo: Denis Sassou N’Guesso on visit to Azerbaijan

The President of the Republic left Brazzaville on Monday, April 1, 2024 for an official visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Denis Sassou N’Guesso traveled to Baku on Monday, April 1st at the invitation of his counterpart Ilham Aliyev. “At the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic leaves Brazzaville this Monday, April 1, 2024 for an official visit to the capital Bakou,” announced the Congolese Presidency in the morning of April 1st.

Although the presidency announced the departure of the head of state to Azerbaijan, the institution did not provide further details. It should be noted that Denis Sassou N’Guesso’s last trip outside his country dates back to mid-February 2024.
