The President of the Republic, Denis Sassou N’Guesso, laid the foundation stone for the “Tower of Hope” on March 5, the new headquarters of the National Social Security Fund (CNSS).

The Tower of Hope will be erected on the 4,000 m2 land of the former Compass school at the Poto-Poto station, in the third district of Brazzaville. 128 meters long, with 28 floors including two basement floors for parking, the construction of the CNSS headquarters is funded by a consortium of banks to the tune of approximately 41.8 billion CFA francs.

The commercial building will allow CNSS to increase its revenue to ensure the regular payment of retirement pensions to insured individuals who are private sector employees and their beneficiaries.

According to the CEO of CNSS, Evariste Ondongo, the new CNSS headquarters will be built to be ultra-modern and eco-friendly, reducing energy consumption and carbon footprint. The Tower of Hope will be able to accommodate up to 20,000 m2 of office space, 6,000 m2 of commercial gallery, conference rooms, a 1,000-seat auditorium, a cafeteria, an observation terrace, a panoramic restaurant, and a VIP office at its summit. It will also be equipped with ten elevators, including two panoramic ones.

The construction of the future CNSS building is entrusted to the company MBTP for a duration of thirty-six months. According to estimates, the project will create more than 1450 jobs.
