Aimé Hydevert Mouagni, who is detained in the premises of the Central Intelligence and Documentation (Cid), has not yet been formally charged.

This is the third night that majority deputy Aimé Hydevert Mouagni has spent in the intelligence services. He is there to answer questions about a video he posted on social networks. In it, the parliamentarian allegedly denigrated the country’s security services.

According to RFI, Aimé Hydevert Mouagni has not yet been formally charged but he remains detained in the premises of the Central Intelligence and Documentation (Cid), formerly known as the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST).

RFI specifies that Aimé Hydevert Mouagni has already been questioned twice for “flagrancy”, without further details. His home was searched by the police services and this week, he will be presented to the public prosecutor.

The media continues by saying that in an authenticated telephone exchange by the police services on social networks, Aimé Hydevert Mouagni can be heard strongly criticizing the country’s management, including embezzlement of public funds, non-payment of parliamentarians’ emoluments. He also points out insecurity in the country’s major cities, clearly blaming the Minister of the Interior and the security services: according to him, they are not able to eradicate this insecurity.
