In a recent interview with News Central, Korra Obidi, a popular Nigerian singer and dancer, disclosed the reason behind her public admission of infidelity in her marriage to her estranged husband, Justin Dean. Obidi admitted to cheating on her husband while she was in Nigeria before moving to America to be with him.

She stated that she chose to come clean about her infidelity because she did not want to live with the burden of keeping such a significant secret. Despite facing criticism for her confession, she maintained that she had no regrets and emphasized that her honesty was instrumental in bringing other revelations to light.

Obidi explained, “If I had not said what I said, if I had not come through with my truth, it wouldn’t have brought out all the truths that came to light.” She added, “And we would have been living in a lie to please the public. And how long can you do that? So I would never regret saying I was having commitment issues before I came to America.”

She further clarified that she never claimed that her ex-husband was the only man she would be committed to for the rest of her life and openly admitted to having “dabbled.” Despite facing backlash for her honesty, she asserted, “I would never live with a secret to death.”

Obidi’s decision to openly acknowledge her infidelity contributed to shedding light on the complexities and challenges within her marriage, ultimately leading to a greater understanding of the situation. By sharing her truth, she demonstrated a commitment to transparency and authenticity, despite the potential backlash she may face.
