The coalition of citizen actions Wakit Tamma has called for a boycott of the upcoming presidential election scheduled for May 6. The coalition denounces the “impartiality of the electoral process” in the country.

“We call on the Chadian people to boycott these presidential elections. For us, on May 6, things already seem to be known. That is why we have called for a boycott. It is better to boycott than to vote when we already know the result,” Wakit Tamma stated in a press release.

For the citizen coalition, the transition that lasted 3 years has caused a rift in the country. “The economic context is in shambles, the social and political context is also in shambles. We have analyzed all aspects, these elections are not worth conducting,” Wakit Tamma warns.
