The Artistic Director of Valorissons la Musique Tchadienne avec Fierté (Vmtf), Héritier Evariste Ngaralbaye, launched the first edition of a major dictation contest on March 20, 2024 at the national library in Chad.
Organized in honor of Papa Terap, an active member of Vmtf, this dictation contest is themed “together, let’s act for the promotion of excellence” and includes a total of 42 public and private institutions in the capital, as highlighted by Héritier Evariste Ngaralbaye, Artistic Director of Vmtf. “We organized this major dictation contest to help students who have difficulties in grammar, vocabulary, etc. to improve. This contest reinforces the objectives of Vmtf, which are the promotion, support, and encouragement of excellence,” he informs.
The first edition of the major dictation contest consists of two categories: the junior category for students from 6th to 9th grade and the senior category for students from 10th to 12th grade. “Candidates in the first category will take the contest in French and those in the second category in English,” explains the artistic director of Vmtf.
After the results, the top 3 winners in each category will receive prizes of 100,000 CFA francs, 75,000 CFA francs, and 50,000 CFA francs respectively.
