In a press release, the UST Women’s Committee calls on all female workers affiliated with this trade union to not participate in the March 8, 2024 parade as a form of protest and discontent towards the government.

The women’s committee states that it has analyzed the current situation in the country and notes with “regret” the government’s silence in response to the platform’s demands, especially deploring the “macabre” events of February 27th and 28th, 2024, which led to the “assassination” of several citizens, including a “very committed” political leader.
