The Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Sanitation, Nour Saleh Haggar, and the Inspector General of the Ministry, Mahamat Ali Abdelkerim Annadif, officially took office this Tuesday, March 12, 2024. The ceremony was presided over by Minister Passalet Kanabet Marcelin.
Appointed on March 6 by decree 0190, Secretary General Nour Saleh Haggar replaces Mahamat Alifa Moussa, who passed away, and Inspector General Mahamat Ali Abdelkrim Annadif replaces Abdoulaye Souleymane Noureine who was reassigned.
“As Secretary General, I am aware that the Department of Water and Sanitation is a very demanding sector that requires tangible results from us,” said Nour Saleh Haggar.
“The mission of the Inspector General is a transversal mission. It is the texts and regulations that drive the system and services forward, therefore compliance with these texts is mandatory. It is our mission to ensure compliance with legislation. I ask everyone to help us, as our mission is truly immense,” called Mahamat Ali Abdelkrim Annadif.
For the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Passalet Kanabet Marcelin, the challenge is great and the new team must start working today. “Dear colleagues, I invite you to a healthy collaboration with mutual respect. Through this healthy collaboration, we will together meet the challenge. We must think and conceive other projects to benefit our population, and this is possible. That is why, once again, I want to renew my confidence in the technical project development committee, from whom I am eagerly awaiting a report. Work first, money later,” he said.
