Through a press release signed by its Public Relations Officer, Saleh Anadif, the National Human Rights Commission (Cndh) notes with satisfaction that “Chad is taking big steps towards the return to constitutional order.”
As a result, the Cndh calls on all political actors and the population to cultivate peace, ban violence, and make respect for human dignity their creed throughout the process.
Furthermore, the National Human Rights Commission instructs all 23 provincial branches to observe in total neutrality and impartiality the overall situation of human rights during the electoral period in order to publish a national report. “We urge all administrative and traditional authorities to facilitate the work of the branches established in their respective jurisdictions,” the Commission stated in the press release.
