The United Nations System Coordination Office, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation, has today opened a workshop focused on validating the analysis of conflict dynamics in Chad. The event is taking place from March 12 to 13 in Bakara.
The main objective of this workshop is to present the final version of the conflict dynamics analysis to government partners and civil society in order to gather their contributions for a thorough finalization. This approach aims to take into account all the issues and challenges related to peacebuilding in Chad, considering its geostrategic position in the regional and sub-regional context. Additionally, the workshop will seek technical validation of this analysis for approval by the Steering Committee.
To achieve these objectives, the workshop will include separate group work as well as plenary sessions. The first day will be dedicated to government partners, with working sessions with officials from sector ministries. The second day will expand the circle to include other partners, allowing for exchanges and technical validation involving a variety of actors, both governmental and from civil society.
The main expected outcome of this workshop is a comprehensive analysis of conflict dynamics, integrating all perspectives and challenges related to peacebuilding in Chad, and technically validated by all stakeholders, including the government, civil society, and the United Nations system.
In total, 52 participants will contribute to this workshop.
