The national president of the Union of Democrats for Development and Progress (Udp), Max Kemkoye, concluded yesterday, Saturday, March 30, 2024, the explanatory and strategic convention of the party. The convention focused on current issues, political and electoral strategies operational in line with the expectations of change from the Chadian population.
A day of intense work allowed delegates from the Udp party from different provinces of the country to discuss current issues, political and electoral strategies. “It is about explaining and informing provincial delegates, why the member parties of the Gcap have decided to participate in the elections and how they have reached a consensus resulting in the designation of Nassour Neguy Koursami as the Gcap candidate,” said the national president of the Udp, Max Kemkoye.
He urged Udp militants to get to work to bring about change. “As the creed of the Udp is the people above all, we must work to bring about change. Let us resolutely work to bring change to the Chadians,” called Max Kemkoye.
At the end of the work, Udp delegates adopted resolutions which include, reiterating their total support for the candidate of the political actors’ concertation group (Gcap), supporting the Gcap in order to initiate procedures for the annulment of decisions taken by the constitutional council.
They also recommended to the junta the postponement of the presidential election, the recomposition of the National Electoral Management Agency (Ange), the cancellation of the note prohibiting drone filming of meetings during the campaign, and to the international community, not to support the elections.
