The Minister of Social Action, National Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, Fatimé Boukar Kossei, launched the campaign for the distribution of food kits to vulnerable groups in Farcha, the 1st district of the city of N’Djamena, on March 9, 2024.
Under the slogan: “vulnerable people at the heart of the 5th Republic,” this campaign to distribute food kits in the 10 districts of the city of N’Djamena is launched.
According to the Director General of the National Food Security Office (Inadaptés), Ahmat Mahamat Kossei, the Chadian government, through Onasa and the Ministry of National Solidarity, always assists vulnerable people during difficult times. “In this context, on the instructions of the highest authorities, Onasa makes available to the General Directorate of National Solidarity a quantity of 30,000 bags of 50kg of cereals and 3000 cans of 20 liters of oil for distribution to the vulnerable people in the 10 districts of the city of N’Djamena,” he explains.
For the Minister of Social Action, National Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, Fatimé Boukar Kossei, it is following the message from the transitional president to the nation on December 31st, stating that the state, in its spirit of solidarity, will provide increased assistance to make life easier for the most deprived, that this campaign for the distribution of food kits is taking place. “It is on this basis that this ceremony justifies the beginning of the launch of the operation to distribute food kits to the benefit of vulnerable groups in the city of N’Djamena,” the minister stated.
According to her, this symbolic action is part of the government’s continuous support to assist affected individuals and contribute to the implementation of the response plan established by the Ministry of Social Action, National Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs. “We are therefore at the heart of our mission to demonstrate the national solidarity of the government in order to contribute to strengthening the resilience of households by laying the foundations for their recovery,” she continues, before inviting the entire chain responsible for ensuring the distribution to ensure that these food kits reach the beneficiaries without any hindrance.
