The Minister in charge of Infrastructure and Development, Aziz Mahamat Saleh, has launched the construction works of 20 km of urban roads in the city of Mongo, capital of Guera. The duration of the works is 20 months.

At the end, ten streets in the city of Mongo will be paved for an amount of 33,000,000,000 FCFA. The works are entrusted to the consortium of companies CEGCOC. The monitoring of the works will be ensured by the Global Consulting Group for an amount of over 903,000,000 FCFA excluding taxes, explained the Director General of Infrastructure and Transport, Hissein Sidi Youssoufmi. Gutters will also be built to ensure the drainage of rainwater.

Laying the foundation stone, the Minister of Infrastructure, Aziz Mahamat Saleh, asked the company in charge of this project to work continuously until the complete execution of the project. He reminded that the rainy season is already approaching. He pleaded for local labor to be prioritized in this project.

This project complements the road construction projects that are currently ongoing in several provinces of Chad, such as: the asphalt works of the Abéché-Abou Goulem roads (95 km), Chadara-Moussoro (71 km), Amdjarass, Sarh, Doba, Bongor, etc.
