Under the theme, “Challenges of implementing the national health development plan 2022-2030, fourth generation: ownership, results, and perspectives”, the meeting brought together officials from the Ministry of Public Health and Prevention, technical and financial partners, and other stakeholders in the health sector. The objective was to contribute to strengthening the health system through in-depth analysis and results obtained in the implementation of the 2023 operational plans of various health sector actors operating at all levels of the healthcare pyramid.

The closing session included the presentation of a summary of the work followed by recommendations, in which participants requested the organization and management of human resources through appropriate software chosen by the Ministry of Public Health and Prevention.

Participants also recommended strengthening methods and capacities of the staff; partnerships with other ministries to boost public health and prevention efforts; rational management of work tools, particularly ambulances and equipment; reducing maternal and child mortality; retaining staff in challenging areas; and strengthening health facilities.

In his closing speech, the Secretary of State for Public Health and Prevention, Dr. Abderrazzack Adoum Fouda, expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and added that the expected objectives of this annual review had been met. He noted that the topics discussed aligned perfectly with the national vision to revitalize the health system. He encouraged each participant to revise their annual planning to incorporate the recommendations from the meeting while intensifying efforts in leadership, governance, community mobilization strategy, and accountability to ensure a efficient and resilient health system.
