The president of the club believes that the amount received from the federation for match ticket sales is insufficient.
Mitterrand François Chido, president of Young Sports Academy (YOSA) in Bamenda, did not mince his words when expressing his dissatisfaction. He expressed his sentiments towards the governing body of Cameroonian football. The institution paid YOSA the sum of 500,000 francs as their share of ticket sales.
This amount was paid for the 16 championship matches played this season. Speaking on the issue, he stated: “My club brings in 300 to 500 supporters to every championship match. But we received 500,000 FCFA from the federation, which represents our share of ticket sales after the 16 matches played this season. I find it unfair, we deserved better.”
Regarding the complaint he had been highlighting for some time about subsidies, he said, “I received a transfer from the federation on March 4, and it was the money from the last installment of the previous season (2022-2023 season). As for the current season, my club has still not received a single franc CFA, even though we have paid salaries and provided the necessary documentation,” stated Mitterrand François Chido.
