Former Manager and Coach of the national football team of Cameroon, Rigobert Song, has decided to take action following defamatory statements made against him. After being accused by two journalists on a television show of holding a fake coaching diploma, Rigobert Song has decided to take legal action against them.

According to a statement signed by Maître Bayebec, the lawyer of the former captain of the Indomitable Lions, the statements made by the journalists in question are not only unfounded but also damage the image and honor of Rigobert Song. Therefore, on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, a bailiff served a direct summons to Théophile Awana and Pinon Omgba, the two journalists implicated.

The first hearing regarding this matter is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the Yaoundé Court of First Instance, the administrative center. Rigobert Song seems determined to defend his integrity and assert his rights in front of the law.
