The member of parliament, president of the PCRN, reacts on social media after the assessment speech of the mandate of the deputies given by the dean of age on March 5th.

During the opening of the parliamentary session on March 5th at the National Assembly, the dean of age of the deputies stated that in 48 months, the deputies could do better. They have voted on laws, controlled the government’s actions, and carried out other activities. But, “what have we done with these 48 months of our mandate? Have we all truly lived up to the confidence placed in us by the Cameroonian people? I could be mistaken, but the overall grade would be: could do better,” said the president of the age bureau who presides over the beginning of the session after questioning.

To explain the grade given to her colleagues, Laurentine Koa Fegue mentioned several facts such as “beyond the inertia of some, others have sunk into behaviors such as intrigue, denunciation, slanderous accusations often through social media, power struggles, profiteering, and the frantic pursuit of money. Absenteeism in the hemicycle,” etc.

In response to the question “what have we done with the 48 months of our mandate,” the deputy of the Cameroon Party for National Reconciliation reacts: “Rephrase your question dear colleague and put more spirit into your attempt to confuse. Let me refresh your memory: for 48 months you have allowed, without any empathy, knowingly and actively, many things that have worsened the suffering of Cameroonians. Take responsibility and give them some peace. At your age, political mischief doesn’t just sound false. It’s ridiculous,” can be read on the opposition leader’s Facebook page.
