Socopao Cameroon has announced the appointment of Mama Nsounchiat Fit as the new General Manager, succeeding Jean Michel Macia, who is now in charge of logistics operations control at Africa Global Logistics.

In his new role, Mama Nsounchiat Fit’s main ambition will be to strengthen Socopao Cameroon’s presence in the port handling and consignment market, with a particular focus on improving customer service and enhancing partnerships with shipowners in the ports of Douala and Kribi.

“The appointment of Mama Nsounchiat as General Manager of SOCOPAO is a testament to his unwavering commitment and contribution to the projects undertaken by AGL in the region. His knowledge of corridors and his experience in the logistics environment are major assets for Socopao Cameroon. I am convinced that under his leadership, we will reach new levels of excellence,” commented Serge Ignaro, AGL’s Regional Director for the Gulf of Guinea.

Before joining Socopao, Mama Nsounchiat Fit started his professional career in 1999 at Camrail as a special controller, before climbing the ranks to become Director of Tax and Customs Operations at Africa Global Logistics, covering Central and West Africa. Since 2018, he has been in charge of Risk and Development Directorate for the Gulf of Guinea region at AGL.

A graduate of the French Institute of Management (IFG) and the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) of the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne, Mama Nsounchiat Fit is also an active member of the Advisory Board of the Autonomous Port of Kribi and the National Committee for Trade Facilitation, bringing over fifteen years of expertise in customs facilitation for community transit operations.
