The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, while visiting the Far North, asked a question to the audience to help them appreciate the progress observed. However, his remarks sparked reactions in all directions.

Never has such a banal question from a high-ranking official of the Republic provoked so many reactions from the public, especially among internet users. Do not even ask “What was there before?” This is the question that is repeated over and over again in most conversations online. Internet users quickly set aside the context and the space in which the government official posed this question. Despite his explanations and clarifications, a certain opinion, made up of young talents, renowned artists, politicians, and activists, those who oppose the regime, continue to mock the ministerial speech.

On digital platforms, participants seize this opportunity to assess the Renewal, 41 years later. Others compare the situation of the entire country before the change of direction and that of today, showing a certain willingness to denounce regression without exacerbating the situation. Opportunistic actors have seized this opportunity to sign, through political exploitation, the downfall of the ruling regime.

He, who struggles to maintain balance and cohesion despite all the unexpected blows, the cost they entail, and despite the mistakes made. He who tries to restore his tarnished image due to acts of corruption, nepotism, favoritism, projects that were not completed, poorly completed, or completed halfway, etc. He, whose actions, even the most beneficial for society as a whole, are seen by some as a deception because of certain failures. He has as many scandals as assets to his name. Nevertheless, the country has plenty to work on. Its development challenges more than one.
