The ribbon of the Nkoabe golf club was officially cut by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
Popularizing golf. Bringing many young people to practice this sport. This is what the newly inaugurated course will bring to Cameroon, particularly for the residents of the village of Nkoabe, in the Ngomedzap district, Nyong et So’o department, Center region.
The initiative, led by local elite, Minister Grégoire Owona, has just been inaugurated. This was done by the Minister in charge of sports, Prof Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
The Nkoabe golf club covers an area of 3,950m with 18 holes. According to Minister Owona, with the introduction of golf at the Olympics, the course will serve as a center for initiation and training for Cameroonian golfers. An opinion shared by Minister Mouelle Kombi, who did not hide his hope of seeing young talents emerge who will defend the national colors in the future.
The opening ceremony was also marked by the handing over of the keys to the infrastructure to the very first president of the club, Robert Lacroux.
