The Hope For All Association (HOFAA), under the leadership of Madam Nsom Ouahouo Tama Eucharia, successfully completed a week-long women’s empowerment project from February 22nd to 29th, 2024. Aligned with the theme of “Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress” for the 2024 International Women’s Day, the initiative provided over 100 women with essential skills in producing various products such as liquid and powder soap, beaded jewelry, soybean products, and liquid pepper.
The project concluded with a grand ceremony on February 29th, graced by the presence of the representative of the West Region Governor, the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO), traditional leaders, and other dignitaries. The event recognized HOFAA’s significant contributions to the humanitarian and socio-economic development of the region.
One of the beneficiaries, Foingwe Peaceful, expressed her appreciation to Madam Eucharia, stating, “Thank you for the fantastic training, your words were very motivating, and you’ve given us a lot to ponder… May the Almighty God continue to bless you more and more.”
Madam Eucharia, the President of HOFAA, delivered an inspiring speech during the ceremony, highlighting the organization’s mission and accomplishments. She underscored the importance of empowering individuals to be self-sufficient rather than reliant on aid handouts.
“We realized that merely providing fish to them every day is not sufficient,” she remarked, explaining HOFAA’s transition to skills training. “HOFAA has been engaged in all these activities… but we realized that we may never fully satisfy the underprivileged, so we decided that training them would be more beneficial.”
The training program, held over a week, focused on producing high-demand goods to enable participants to generate income and enhance their livelihoods. Madam Eucharia stressed the significance of community support and cooperation, urging, “Let’s not ridicule people when they are in challenging circumstances… We can do it. Let’s stand with the less fortunate.”
The ceremony ended with expressions of gratitude to various individuals and organizations that have supported the efforts of the Hope For All Association. The association looks forward to continuing its work towards creating a more robust and sustainable future for all.
