The campus of the University of Ngoundéré of Dang served as the setting for this great moment of sharing.
Curious visitors and guests visited the different decorated stands, showcasing a variety of art objects made from recycled materials, natural cosmetic products, and typically Cameroonian dishes.
Various dishes from the North and South of Cameroon were appreciated by visitors, as well as other specialties such as dishes from the Anglophone regions, which were highly appreciated by our brothers and sisters from the northern part of Cameroon.
On the menu, there was clearly a bit of everything, such as Tasma’a, Mokko, lalo, among others, the most consumed vegetables in the North of Cameroon.
Dishes made from pistachio and cassava stick, koki, grilled fish in the style of Sawa women were also popular. Everyone found something to their taste, you just had to spend a few coins to be served.
“I am from the city of Ngoundéré, I really enjoyed the different dishes from the South. It was also an opportunity to see the talent of our mothers, because a woman, regardless of her age, even if she is your little sister, she remains a mother. We also came to encourage them in what they do to feed the family. For me, this is the kind of event that should happen every three months instead of once a year on a day like this,” says a resident of the city of Ngoundéré.
Women also exhibited refined art objects such as hats, vases, flowers, and many others, which were praised by visitors.
The Rector of the University of Ngoundéré, Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini, present at the event, congratulated the women’s network for their commitment and creativity.
This exhibition day on the occasion of International Women’s Day demonstrated through this fair, the desire to promote the role of women in society.
