Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, Leopold Maxime Eko Eko, Justin Danwe, Martin Savom, and Bruno Bidjang may learn their fate before the Military Tribunal of Yaoundé in 12 days.

On March 25th, the individuals indicted by examining magistrate Pierrot Narcisse Nzié will appear for the first time before the Military Tribunal of Yaoundé. The hearing is part of the case of the assassination of Amplitude FM radio channel chief, Martnez Zogo. The Tribunal notified the accused of this date on Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. This notification comes two weeks after the publication of the referral order by the examining magistrate who has classified or reclassified the charges against each in this case since February 29th.

In this document marking the end of the judicial information, the judge accuses Tongue Nana, Daouda, and Lamfu Johnson Ngam of “murder, complicity in torture, and violation of instructions” in collusion. The justice pursues Ebo’o Clément, Lenoir Dawa Bosco, Bakaïwe Sylvain, and Godje Oumarou Vincent for charges of “violation of instructions, collective arrest, sequestration, and collective torture.” Maxime Léopold Eko Eko, former boss of DGRE, Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga, businessman, Etienne Jacques Engwele Ngwelle, Yves Saïwang, and Guy Serge Heudji will be judged for acts of “complicity in torture.”

Justin Danwe, former director of operations at DGRE, is being prosecuted for “complicity in murder, complicity in arrest and sequestration, complicity in torture, and violation of instructions.” Mayor of Bibey Martin Savom will be judged for “complicity in murder and complicity in torture.” Bruno François Bidjang Oba’a Bikoro, on the other hand, will answer for charges of “conspiracy to torture, arrest and sequestration.”
