The social media space in Cameroon has recently been flooded with messages of support for Daniel Nsang. The well-known actor made headlines after nude videos allegedly featuring him surfaced online. Reports indicate that the videos first appeared on Snapchat before spreading to various online platforms.

Emy Dany Bassong, an award-winning actress and a friend of Nsang, expressed her shock, saying, “The malice that people have managed to spread is chilling; for no reason, someone is capable of forgetting the smile you once gave them. Daniel Nsang is my friend; stop tarnishing his reputation.” Bassong has previously worked with Nsang on several movie projects.

“Facebook is a dangerous place; stay strong, Daniel Nsang,” wrote Blaise Option, a movie producer.

Maahlox, a popular Cameroonian singer also known as Jean-Jules Kenfack, condemned the act, questioning the cruelty of secretly recording someone naked while they sleep. “How did exposing this help you?” he added.

“This is unimaginable, may God guide us all,” commented Marcelle Kuetche, an actress and comedian.

Many other actors have shown their support for Nsang through social media posts featuring his picture or messages of solidarity.

Nsang, who has over one million followers on his Facebook page, has not addressed the incident. The 33-year-old actor is currently enjoying success in his career, with appearances in popular series such as “Trauma” (2019), “Irrational Love” (2020), and “Fantasma” (2018). He has also been featured in productions like “Madame Monsieur” and “La Bataille des Cheries.”
