While trying to escape after a burglary, Mfopa Adamou suffered a fatal fall last Tuesday.
The scene took place in the Rond Point Express neighborhood in Yaoundé. It was on the night of April 9th to April 10th. The staff of a company located in this neighborhood noticed that the door to the toilet was blocked from the inside. On the other side of the bathroom was a bandit. Panicked, he first tried to escape through the window. Then, as in a Hollywood movie, he used his bag to cling to a rope and try to get to the other side to reach the ground floor. But he did not succeed. His weight did not help him and the rope broke. This is how he suffered a fatal fall.
In his bag, several computers were found. After searching his pockets, a dowry list worth 7 million was also found. A discovery that hints at the motivations behind the robbery… Local authorities are currently investigating the incident and identifying potential accomplices.
