The CEO of Vision 4 has been missing for days. He is believed to be on the run since he learned about his imminent arrest. Even at work, the boss of Vision 4 has not been seen for days. “He has been very scarce since his last hearing at the military court. Yesterday, for example, he was nowhere to be found. We wonder where he could be. But at the same time, we also learned, like you did, that he is wanted by the gendarmerie,” says a journalist from Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga’s media group.
Our sources also claim that none of his phone numbers are working. This suggests that the star presenter of Club d’Elite may be hiding somewhere. Still pursued in the Martinez Zogo case, journalist Bruno Bidjang was summoned last week by the new investigating judge of the military court in Yaoundé. The media man spent the night there before being released in the evening. However, our sources do not indicate the role that the journalist may have played in the case.
Since the beginning of the case, journalist Bruno Bidjang had been arrested on the same day as his boss, businessman Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, suspected of being one of the masterminds behind the assassination of Martinez Zogo. After more than three weeks of detention, it was still not known what was being accused of in this case.
While the case has been under investigation for nearly a year at the military court in Yaoundé, several suspects have already been arrested and placed in detention at the central prison of Yaoundé, including Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga, CEO of the L’Anecdote group, Maxime Eko Eko, former director general of external research, Martin Savom, mayor of Bibey, Justin Danwe, the commander of operations of the Dgre, several elements of the army and police commissioners. All are suspected of being involved in the assassination of Martinez Zogo. After more than 11 months, it is still not known when the trial will begin.
For Bruno Bidjang, things have moved very quickly. On January 30, 2023, the 30-year-old colleague, by decision of his CEO, Jean-Pierre Amougou Belinga, was promoted to CEO of the group’s media. A conglomerate which includes, in addition to the newspaper L’Anecdote, the television stations Vision4, Telesud and the radio Satellite fm.
The position was created at the same time as his appointment. But Bruno Bidjang will barely have time to take on his new responsibilities. Indeed, a week later, on February 6, 2023, the journalist was arrested at his home at dawn. He will be released later, but the charges against him will be maintained. Since his release, he has been trying to keep the media group afloat.
