The young man named Lamine Menso was arrested in Poumpoumre, in the Northern region.

Lamine Menso is 30 years old. He has always dreamed of joining the army. A dream that almost came true. But in 2017, while he was in a training camp for the Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR), he was dismissed for physical unfitness. A dismissal that he did not appreciate. He then decided to continue wearing the uniform, but now under a different banner.

With his gang, the former military student operated in cities like Garoua, Touboro, Pitoa, Gudigus, and Kaele in the Northern region of Cameroon. During his operations, he wore the uniform of a sergeant and primarily stole motorcycles. Moreover, what led to his arrest was that he started selling counterfeit money. Thanks to various denunciations and investigations, the territorial gendarmerie brigade was able to arrest him. He was found with several national identity cards on him.
