Following the dispute over the appointment of a second technical staff for the Indomitable Lions by Fecafoot, a situation unprecedented in recent history of modern football, Abdouraman Hamadou Babba has taken a stand as a citizen and key player in Cameroonian football.
He emphasized that the collaboration agreement signed between the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education (Minsep) and Fecafoot in 2015 aimed to facilitate the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 2014/384 of September 26, 2014, and that the appointment of a new coaching staff by the Ministry of Sports is in line with this agreement.
Abdouraman Hamadou Babba also pointed out that Fecafoot cannot invoke its own wrongdoing, as the current executive of Fecafoot has not questioned the said agreement during its mandate. He also indicated that if the current leaders of Fecafoot believe that the Ministry of Sports has not complied with the applicable regulations, they have the option to engage in an open dialogue with the supervisory authority or to bring the matter before the relevant national and international jurisdictions and/or FIFA.
Furthermore, he announced that an urgent meeting of the Executive Bureau of the Association of Amateur Football Clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC) will be held in Yaoundé to discuss the measures to be taken to end the current crisis. He also stressed that any decision to appoint a second technical staff for the Indomitable Lions will be vigorously contested before the competent national and international jurisdictions.
