The gruesome discovery was made this morning on the road to Mfou in the Mefou and Afamba department, not far from the Catholic college Père Monti.

The scene resembles the phenomenon of ritualistic crimes that shook the political capital a few years ago. An alert shared on social media this morning suggests that a woman was sodomized, raped, and then murdered, with her organs taken away before her body was thrown into the bush in Yaoundé.

“I am contacting you this morning to present another case of a dead woman found sodomized, who was discovered this morning in a small bush at Nkoulou Carrière in the Monti neighborhood in Yaoundé, on the road to Mfou. This discovery was made this morning just after the owner of the field set fire yesterday to burn the grass, which exposed this corpse that may be about 48 hours old. The said body was wrapped in a bag.

For the moment, the body, which was also stripped of all its organs, has not yet been identified,” the alert reads.

Neither the age nor the name of the lady is known, let alone the circumstances of her murder. But the first indications suggest that the serial killers who kidnap, violate, kill and remove the genital organs of women are back.

The police have descended on the scene, as well as the administrative authorities, and an investigation has been opened to determine the perpetrators of this crime.

In mid-2023, Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, was confronted with a worrying increase in insecurity. Kidnappings and ritualistic crimes had become commonplace, causing growing concern among the city’s residents. The victims were chosen at random, regardless of age or social status. These barbaric acts were perpetrated to collect human body parts for occult practices. The assailants, often linked to organized criminal networks, targeted vulnerable individuals, such as children and women. These ritualistic crimes have a devastating impact on society, creating a climate of fear and widespread mistrust.
