The envelope will be used by the municipalities of the towns of Bafang, Bana, Bankou, and Banka to carry out five projects in this department of the West region.
275,000,000 F transferred by the MINTP to the CTD of Haut-Nam in 2024. According to the ministry, this amount, from the “BIP-MINTP, will allow the municipal authorities of the communes of Bafang, Bana, Bankou, and Banka to carry out five projects in this department of the West region.”
In detail, the town of Bafang will benefit from an envelope of 65,000,000 F in the 2024 budget to carry out sanitation works on the communal road: 800 M -Hotel paradise-entrance Bafang II – Maison du parti-crossroad Baboutcheu – heavy axis + Galaxies ramp – District Hospital.
The town of Bana will have two projects including the rehabilitation of the road section from Foyer grand père-mission catholique and the opening of the communal track from Chizachuepo bridge to Tounkor, corresponding to 27,000,000 F CFA and 38,000,000 F CFA respectively.
The 65,000,000 F CFA allocated to the town of Bakou will be used for the rehabilitation of the communal road Tamté-Chefferie Komako.
The town of Banka will benefit from 80,000,000 F for the realization of bituminous sealing works on the Pouandeu-Carrefour Banfelouk section (phase 3).
Overall, the Cameroonian Ministry of Public Works plans a total budget of 508 billion CFA francs for the country’s road construction projects in 2024. As part of the public investment budget, the ministry also plans to transfer 14.6 billion CFA francs this year to decentralized territorial communities to manage road maintenance and improvement works, covering a total length of 1,333.55 km. 2 billion will be allocated to Regional Councils for the treatment of 119.2 km, while 12.6 billion will go to the 360 municipalities to treat 1,216.35 km of roads.
