Burkina: The use of motorcycles such as Aloba, Sanili, Fortune, and tricycles prohibited beyond the city of Fada N’Gourma
Fada N’Gourma, April 6, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – In a statement dated April 5, 2024, the governor of the East region, Ram Joseph Kafando, informs the public that the use of motorcycles such as Aloba, Sanili, Fortune, as well as tricycles, is “strictly prohibited day and night throughout the regional territory, except in the city of Fada N’Gourma, within its urban limits,” starting from Monday, April 8 to Saturday, October 5, 2024.
However, the same statement specifies that only the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and any other person with authorization from a competent authority are exempt from the measure.
