Burkina Faso: Nearly 100 billion CFA francs mobilized in 2023 for the Patriotic Support Fund
Ouagadougou, March 26, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – Nearly 100 billion CFA francs were collected in 2023 by the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP), it was learned on Tuesday.
As of December 31, 2023, the amount of receipts from all sources combined in the FSP amounts to ninety-nine billion thirty-nine million thirty-five thousand five hundred (99,039,035,500) CFA francs, on a revised forecast of eighty billion (80,000,000,000) CFA francs, representing a mobilization rate of 123.80%.
With a forecast of one hundred billion (100,000,000,000) CFA francs in 2024, thirty-one billion two million six hundred seventy-nine thousand nine hundred eighteen (31,002,679,918) CFA francs had already been collected as of March 12, 2024, representing 31% of the annual target, demonstrating citizens’ support for this instrument to support the government’s peace efforts.
