Burkina: In 2020 and 2021, the relocation of workshops cost 3 billion FCFA, ASCE-LC

Ouagadougou, March 12, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – In 2020 and 2021, the relocation of workshops in 21 ministries and institutions was evaluated at 3 billion CFA francs by the Higher Authority for State Control and the Fight Against Corruption (ASCE-LC).

“In terms of reducing the state’s expenditure, specifically regarding the relocation of workshops, expenses of three (3) billion CFA francs were noted, leading Urbain Milogo to say that ‘these workshops could have been kept in their original locations’,” the report states. This is an excerpt from a briefing by the Prime Minister’s Communication Directorate on the presentation of the 2022 activity report of ASCE-LC yesterday by its interim head, Urbain Millogo, to Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla.

The report details the management of 21 ministries and institutions for the budgetary years 2020 and 2021.
