Burkina Faso: General mobilization and warning period extended by 12 months

Ouagadougou, March 27, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – The Burkinabe government has extended the period of general mobilization and warning for twelve months, starting from April 19, 2024, to better fight against terrorism.

The extension of the period of general mobilization and warning for 12 months, starting from April 19, 2024 at zero hour, will allow for the continued mobilization of resources, the restoration of security, and ensuring the protection of populations and their property against the threat and actions of terrorism, said the government.
