Burkina: Businessman Amadou Tall Calls for Extension of Transition

Ouagadougou, April 18, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – Burkinabe businessman Amadou Tall has called on the head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, “to use the legal means that allow him to extend the duration of the Transition in order to continue his beneficial actions for the country of upright men.”

According to Amadou Tall, Burkina Faso’s victory over terrorism “is undoubtedly within reach with Captain Ibrahim Traoré,” as evidenced by courageous decisions that aim to sever the umbilical cord with the colonizer.

Today, thanks to the leadership of the Transition president, “we travel the world with dignity,” and we are “praised by security forces, businessmen, politicians, and youth,” said the Burkinabe businessman.

“His determination, courage, and audacity” have garnered admiration beyond Burkinabe borders, especially among African youth.

This extension, according to Amadou Tall, will elevate the country to the pinnacle of dignity, far from the predators who have brought terrorism to its territory.

The Transition, led by Captain Ibrahim Traoré since October 2, 20222, is set to expire in July 2024, according to the transition charter.
