Burkina/Peace Effort: Retired Lieutenant Colonel Supports FDS with 500 Thousand FCFA
Ouagadougou, March 5, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – Retired Lieutenant Colonel Adama Ouédraogo handed over the sum of 500,000 FCFA to the Minister of State and Minister of Defense and Veterans (ME, MDAC), Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, for his contribution to the peace effort in Burkina, learned Africa Links 24 on Tuesday through the department’s Facebook page.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Adama Ouédraogo delivered his contribution to the peace effort amounting to 500,000 FCFA on February 20, 2024, at the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
His gesture in support of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) was received by Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, Minister of State and Minister of the department.
As a reminder, on January 11, 2023, the government of the Patriotic Movement for Salvation and Restoration (MPSR2) launched the creation of a Patriotic Support Fund aimed at mobilizing an amount of 100 billion CFA francs for the support of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland.
