Burkina: 268 indigent patients benefited from healthcare coverage for over 158,700,000 CFA francs
Ouagadougou, April 17, 2024 (Africa Links 24) – 268 indigent patients received healthcare coverage through the National Solidarity and Social Resilience Fund (FNS-RS) for a total amount of 158,728,220 CFA francs in 2023, across all 13 regions of the country, the Africa Links 24 learned from the Ministry responsible for solidarity.
Sick individuals who do not have the means to cover medical expenses directly approach the FNS-RS or the decentralized services of the Ministry responsible for solidarity to submit their files to the fund.
“It is in this way that 268 indigent patients received healthcare coverage for a total amount of 158,728,220 CFA francs,” the communication services of the Ministry responsible for solidarity and humanitarian action informed.
The coverage of medical and pharmaceutical expenses for severe indigent patients has impacted all 13 regions of Burkina Faso, they added.
