The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has called for calm and unity in Tooro as the kingdom mourns the death of Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru.
The message was delivered by Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga during a visit to the late king’s residence in Buziga, Kampala, where he paid homage on behalf of the Kabaka and the people of Buganda.
Mr Mayiga said the Kabaka urged the people of Tooro to remain united as the kingdom navigates what he described as a difficult period.
