Township Rollers, currently leading the league table, have received a much-needed boost with the return of experienced goalkeeper Kabelo Dambe to training. Dambe, who had been sidelined due to a nose fracture sustained during a Botswana Football League game against Security Systems, has resumed field training under a light programme designed to gradually reintegrate him into the first team.

The injury occurred last month, forcing Dambe to undergo immediate surgery at Gaborone Private Hospital. After almost three weeks of rest and recovery, he is now expected to make a full return to action within the next two weeks, provided there are no setbacks during his rehabilitation.

Dambe’s absence has not deterred Township Rollers, who have managed to maintain their position at the top of the league standings, holding a two-game advantage over their closest competitors, Jwaneng Galaxy. However, the return of their reliable shot-stopper is sure to provide a welcome boost to the team as they continue their pursuit of the league title.

In addition to Dambe’s return, Township Rollers have had to contend with other first team injuries, including Mogakolodi Ngele and Letlhogonolo Chenjela. Ngele is expected to be out of action for up to two weeks due to a groin strain, while Chenjela faces a much longer spell on the sidelines with a partial right tibia fracture, ruling him out of both league and cup competitions for the next three months.

Despite these setbacks, Township Rollers remain determined to maintain their strong performance on the pitch and secure the league title. The team will be looking to their experienced players, including Dambe, to lead by example and guide them to success in the remaining matches of the season.

As Dambe continues his rehabilitation and prepares for his return to first team action, Township Rollers fans are hopeful that his presence between the posts will provide the stability and confidence needed to secure crucial victories in the upcoming games. With the league title within reach, every player’s contribution will be vital in achieving the team’s ultimate goal of becoming champions.
